I’ve used Ubuntu for the last couple of months, first as the gOS version for netbooks, and finally at the release of 8.10: Intrepid Ibex, I downloaded the Adept upgrade manager to try the full version.

Then, I found Ubuntu Satanic Edition.

Awesome.

Ubuntu Satanic isn’t really a remix. It’s a series of Well executed screensavers, splash screens and desktop themes that  change your linux box into a horror themed monstrosity. Fun for the entire family, if your family’s like mine.

• Drunken Zombie- Going Strong with 50 Broadcasts!
• Frequency of Fear- Love the OTR Shows Featuring Peter Lorre, Bela, and Novelty Records!
• Pseudopod- Well produced. Big name recognition. However, uneven quality. Check out their sister podcasts for fantasy and science fiction too.
• Transmissions from Beyond- Interzone publisher TTA features stories from their family of magazines
• Well Told Tales- Pulp crime, adventure and horror.
• Pod of Horror- News, reviews and the state of horror fiction.
